Ok. Actually I don't know the essay that I write is an exposition text or not. But, yeah, I try to not care. The important thing is I have done the task.
First time, I write my essay into Indonesian. Like this :
Korupsi
Kasus korupsi di Indonesia belum juga mereda. Bahkan hampir menjadi suatu budaya. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan persentase korupsi yang tinggi di dunia dan menjadi yang terkorup di Asia Tenggara. Kerugian pun mencapai lebih dari 1 Triliyun Rupiah. Rendahnya tingkat moralitas menjadi salah satu faktor yang sangat berperan dalam kasus korupsi di Indonesia. Karena memang beberapa kasus korupsi yang ditemui di Indonesia juga ternyata bersangkutan dengan lembaga penegak hukum itu sendiri.
Yang kaya makin kaya yang miskin makin miskin, begitulah slogan yang sudah sagat akrab didengar. Penggambaran dari dampak korupsi yaitu sang koruptor kian melenggang di atas angin. Sedangkan kesengsaraan terus melanda rakyat yang memang sudah sengsara. Angka kemiskinan dan pengangguran bertambah. Dana untuk pendidikan pun tidak digunakan dengan semestinya. Akhirnya rakyat terancam dalam kebodohan. Selanjutnya, kemiskinan dan kebodohan tentu akan berkolaborasi menimbulkan dampak baru yakni meningkatnya kriminalitas. Rakyat pun hidup dalam keresahan.
Pemerintah harus secepat mungkin melakukan tindakan tegas. Diawali dengan instropeksi diri. Lalu mulailah berpikir mengenai masa depan negeri ini. Betapa terpuruknya negara Indonesia jika terus berada dalam gemelut korupsi yang terus dilakukan oleh manusia-manisia terhormat negeri ini. Lembaga Korupsi Kolusi dan Nepotisme yang telah berdiri juga tidak luput dari kemelut intrik. Sepertinya, ada sekolompok individu yang memang sengaja berusaha untuk menjatuhkan lembaga tersebut.
Harta dan tahta dapat dengan mudah membutakan mata seseorang. Semuanya kembali pada persoalan awal, rendahnya moralitas. Maka harus dicermati ternyata musuh utama bangsa Indonesia adalah kebodohan. Rakyat bawah diserang oleh kebodohan intelektual sedangkan rakyat atas diserang oleh kebodohan emosional. Maka solusi yang tepat, mulailah untuk memerangi kebodohan tersebut. Ini menjadi tugas dan tanggung jawab pemerintah tentunya. Mampukah pemerintah mewujudkannya?
After that, I try to translate it into English. As you know, my English is not good enough. So, I just hope I don't make a lot of mistakes.
Corruption
Cases of corruption in Indonesia has not subsided. In fact, almost become a culture. Indonesia is one of country with a high percentage of corruption in the world, and become the most corrupt in Southeast Asia. The loss was reached more than 1 trillion Rupiah. The low level of morality to be one of factor that is important in cases of corruption in Indonesia. Because it is a few cases of corruption that existed in Indonesia also was associated with law enforcement agencies themselves.
"The rich get richer the poor getting poor," one slogan that really familiar to be heard. Depiction of the corruption impact is the corruptor had the upper hand. Whereas, the misery was continue hit people that already have in poverty. The number of poverty and unemployment is increase. The funds for education also not used properly. Finally, the people will threatened in ignorance. And then, the poverty and unemployment of course will be collaborate making the new impact such as criminality increase. The people will life inside the restlessness.
The government should to do the affirmative action quickly. Begin with introspection it self. Then, start to think about the future of this country. What a poor country! if Indonesia is continue to be in the corruption cases that done by the honorable people in this country. The Institution of Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism that have stood also not escape from complicated intrigue. Seems, there are some individual that try to dropped the institution deliberately.
Money and throne can blind the eye of someone easily. Everything back to the first problem, the low level of morality. Must be observed that in fact the main enemy of this country is ignorance. Intellectual stupidity attack the small people, whereas the honorable people is attacked by emotional stupidity. So, the appropriate solution is begin to combat the ignorance. This is become the task and responsibility for the government. Can the government make it happen?
